If Sydney is so popular as a cruise destination, then why did I had to embark and disembark my past two cruises via a TENT at Bangaroo ? Thats right, Australia's biggest cruise destination and second dock point uses a tent to service its customers. What pressure is the cruise industry bringing to bare to fix this embarsement?? Auckland on the other hand has a full passenger terminal complete with an air bridge that adjusts to any ship height and tidal change - with easy. Can you get the Minister to explain that one !

we were on thye pearl in July as well. We've done 9 cruises & this would have to have been the worst. The food in the buffet was always the same as well as being just about cold,The fruit basket had about 7 pieces of fruit in it mainly granny smith apples.Every other we have been on has offered some sort of Sunday service, not on the pearl.Never got any interesting commentary from the bridge eg a pod of dolphins,a volcano inthe distance{it was night time & it looked really great but only the people on deck at the time were privy to it & so on}Couldn't get into Vila because the weather was too bad[can't blame the captain for that one,but by this stage of the cruise we all did}The cabin had a dirty water mark running down the wall[got washed of eventually]the lampshade was being held together with masking tape, asked for the doona to be replaced with a blanket, took the doona away & gave us a folded blanket & no topsheet,we were right near an airconditiong duct & the noise in our room was really bad & I have hearing problems & it was keeping me awake at night. Finally its the last morning & breakfast is running late AND the ship breaks down just outside the Heads & we have to wait 3 hours for some tug boats. This will be our last cruise with P&O,we've only been cruising 3 years but with each cruise you can see more & more cutbacks. From now on in we'll stick with Princess & never had a problem with them.
